Welcome to Hood Mastermind. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Hood Mastermind website, mobile applications, events, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). The Service is provided by Ty and Clay, LLC (“Hood Mastermind,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).
By accessing or using the Service, creating an account, registering for an event, or otherwise participating in Hood Mastermind, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. What Hood Mastermind Is
Hood Mastermind is a community built around accountability, personal growth, meaningful conversations, and practical learning.
Our Service may include:
- Mobile applications
- Website and online content
- Accountability groups
- Goal tracking
- Voice or video meetings
- Hot Seat sessions
- Community discussions
- Live or virtual events
- AI-powered features and recommendations
- Future products and services we introduce
Some features may be free, while others may require payment.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
By creating an account or participating in Hood Mastermind, you represent that:
- you are at least 18 years old;
- the information you provide is accurate; and
- you are legally able to enter into this agreement.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these requirements.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for your account and everything that happens under it.
You agree to:
- keep your login credentials secure;
- provide accurate information;
- promptly update inaccurate information;
- notify us if you believe your account has been compromised; and
- not sell, share, or transfer your account.
4. Community Standards
Hood Mastermind exists because people are willing to be vulnerable with one another. Treat that trust with respect.
When using the Service, you agree to:
- treat others respectfully;
- participate honestly and in good faith;
- respect members’ privacy;
- avoid harassment, discrimination, bullying, hate speech, threats, or abusive conduct;
- avoid posting unlawful, fraudulent, or misleading content;
- avoid impersonating others or manipulating community features such as credibility scores; and
- not interfere with the operation or security of the Service.
We reserve the right to remove content, suspend accounts, remove attendees from events, or terminate access when these standards are violated.
5. Meetings, Events, and Community Participation
Whether participating online or in person, you are responsible for your own conduct.
Unless everyone participating has given permission, you may not:
- record meetings,
- record Hot Seat sessions,
- redistribute private discussions, or
- share another member’s private content outside Hood Mastermind.
Some events may be photographed or recorded for promotional or educational purposes. When applicable, we will notify attendees before recording.
6. Your Content
You retain ownership of the content you create.
This includes:
- goals;
- accountability updates;
- comments;
- reflections;
- progress updates;
- profile information;
- meeting participation; and
- other content you submit.
By posting content, you grant Hood Mastermind a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and process that content solely to operate, improve, and provide the Service.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to anything you upload or share.
7. Credibility Scores and Community Features
Credibility scores, leaderboards, badges, achievements, streaks, and similar community features are designed to encourage participation and accountability.
These scores:
- have no monetary value;
- may change over time;
- may be recalculated;
- may be reset; and
- do not create ownership rights or entitlements.
Attempting to manipulate these systems may result in account suspension or termination.
8. AI Features
Some features of Hood Mastermind may use artificial intelligence to assist with coaching, accountability, summaries, recommendations, or other experiences.
AI-generated content may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate.
AI features are provided to assist you and should not be relied upon as professional advice or as the sole basis for important decisions.
9. Payments and Refunds
Certain products, subscriptions, or events may require payment.
Pricing, billing terms, cancellation policies, and any applicable refund policies will be presented before purchase.
If we cancel a paid event, we will provide a refund or an alternative option where appropriate.
10. Third-Party Services
The Service may rely on third-party providers, including cloud hosting, authentication, communications, payment processing, analytics, AI providers, and other technologies.
Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
We are not responsible for services operated by third parties.
11. Intellectual Property
All Hood Mastermind branding, logos, software, designs, graphics, content, and materials are owned by Ty and Clay, LLC or used with permission.
Except as expressly permitted, you may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit any part of the Service.
12. No Professional Advice
Hood Mastermind exists to support accountability and personal growth.
Nothing provided through the Service, including AI responses, community discussions, events, accountability feedback, or educational content, constitutes legal, financial, medical, mental health, or other professional advice.
You remain solely responsible for your decisions and actions.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.”
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that the Service will always be uninterrupted, secure, accurate, or error-free.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hood Mastermind, Ty and Clay, LLC, and its owners, employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim related to the Service will not exceed the greater of:
- the amount you paid us during the twelve months preceding the claim; or
- $100 USD.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
15. Termination
You may stop using Hood Mastermind at any time.
We may suspend or terminate accounts, remove content, or restrict access if you violate these Terms, misuse the Service, or create risk for the community or platform.
Certain provisions of these Terms, including ownership rights, disclaimers, and limitations of liability, survive termination.
16. Changes to These Terms
As Hood Mastermind evolves, these Terms may also change.
If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and may notify you through the app, website, or email.
Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
